For those who purchase NOS panels only, I hear that those panels are "left overs" from GM did not use because they did not align correctly. Check out Chevy Rumble's most recent issue. They are superior to anything else. OPG isn't even in the equation for what I'm doing. I get parts directly from AMD and Dynacorn. I don't have an issue mixing and matching so long as it's not going to create a bigger issue than needed. Most panels out there are manufactured by factories that most hobbyists would no recognize the name of. The "brand name" importers further muddy the waters. Sheet metal, at least the best-quality sourcing of it, is a very complex matrix. No single factory over in Taiwan makes the "best of everything" by default. So what the metal is one ga thinner, you know cars todays have quarters made out of 22ga hell Nission has 24ga!!

I just ordered all of my sheet metal from Summit. Best price I found, but the 0 +free shipping doesn't apply for the larger pieces. I also was ordering Goodmark sheet metal, but was tagged CHS or something like that. Never the less it fit well. Only a small amount of persuading was required.
This allows the pressings to be more crisp. The guy who started AMD is also the same guy that originally started Goodmark so many of the parts come from the same suppliers. They are DOT approved so there is that. Remember, when you cut off the old sheet metal it seems thicker than it really is due to paint and other coatings.
