My welder told me that riviting two pieces of 16-18 gauge sheet metal together, every two inches or so, with my pneumatic rivet gun at 110+ PSI, using steel 3/16" "snowmobile" rivits with the large heads, would have a "ton" of clamping force. How is this bad advice?
