You should be able to replace the current external block junction box with a "in handlebar" one. I moved the battery into the seatpost and there is a lot of space in BB to run wire and reposition junction box (SM-JC41). The Canyon seatpost will not be able to take the battery as it is a split seat post, so, I want to shift the battery to the seat tube. There is no problem with junction box with the new dura ace style (9100) di2 - junction box fits into the handlebar. It is the cables and the way they connect together..
