Hi there. My builder just finished insulating our attic with blown in insulation. Unfortunately I only realized after the fact that the electrical junction boxes were only spray foamed where the romex enters the box. They did not spray foam the perimeter where the junction box meets the drywall (see example picture). As noted, we were using airtight electrical boxes back in the late 1990s, but I still see errors in these requirements today. Below is a photo from a recent code-compliant blower-door test.
