The 05-07 drivetrains are all the same, and that's the only year for the FS and 500. A pass-through cable is a 2-way data cable to flash the new ECU. It's uber-expensive, so if you don't have it, having the dealer reflash the trans or getting a new smart junction box is the way to go (I think you'd need the keys, though, if you go that route).
