I pulled the intake manifold and the wiring harness junction box under the throttle body. Now I'm putting it back together and have a plug left over . Just try to read the error or get the UIF from INPA to see if it is working. You would have all sort of issues when you don't have the right cable. So, it turns out I had a bad cable. Got a new one and I was able to get NCS .
The sensor leaks internally and the oil comes out the pins, and the oil will travel up the wiring into the DME. When oil gets in the pins it causes all sorts of issues and rarely sets a fault code. .Check the white wire that goes to the starter. I see unplugged connector at the starter and possibly the end that plugs into the wiring junction below the throttle body. (If it’s has one on .You don’t have to remove it to take the engine out. You can keep all the electrical items attached and disconnect at the large circular connector and grounds. Reply reply
Might want to check your CAS or the junction box electronics. Fuses can be good while the JBE itself is shot, not sure if that would prevent OBD communication or not but I .

(If it’s has one on that end , some do) Bought my e92 328 back in July and since then I've dealt with almost every common n52 problem. Serpentine belt assembly, ofhg, and a valve cover gasket that mysteriously stopped leaking when I changed the ofhg. You don’t have to remove it to take the engine out. You can keep all the electrical items attached and disconnect at the large circular connector and grounds.
